Writer, Director, Producer Whittaker has worked extensively on both sides of the lens for over two decades. “Catching Fireflies” is his directorial debut. Whittaker has written many scripts and is currently working on a Sci-Fi/ Action Thriller in which he plans to Direct and Produce. It is his passion and goal to create, write, and direct cinematically beautiful films that alter the perception of film making and the movie-going experience.

Director of Photography As a incredible Cinematographer, he really understands how to capture the vision of the director. We shot the film on a RED EPIC, and with use of a Steadi-cam, an underwater housing and a new technology using aerial photography, Elie was able to capture truly amazing shots.

Editor Chris Witt’s work has been acclaimed worldwide including Kavi (2009), a 2010 Academy Award nominee and The Butterfly Circus (2009), an Internet sensation and the only short film to ever win Best of Show at the Fargo Film Festival. His feature work includes A Leading Man (2013), nominated for the Halekulani Golden Orchid Award for Best Narrative Feature, the thriller Dragon Day (2013), and Clear Lake, WI (2009)

Composer Composer, Yuichiro Oku, is a multi-award winner and brings incredible depth and heart to the project. Composing an original score for "Catching Fireflies", he uses multilayers of sonic vibrations to paint a colorful and emotional canvas of melodies.

Set Designer The Production Designer, Brent Mason, was in charge of the overall look of the movie via set decoration, props etc., collaborating closely with the Costume Designer to ensure a cohesive flow of tone.

Head of Wardrobe Department

Chief Makeup Artist Todd A. McIntosh is a two time Emmy Award winner and twelve time nominee. He headed the Makeup department on the hit TV series “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer,” for six seasons where he juggled all his skills at beauty and special make-up. In 2009 he won a second Emmy for his work on the TV series, “Pushing Daisies.”

Aerial Choreographer Elisabeth has worked in circus for many years and is amazingly talented in all arenas. She has brought us her equally talented resources, including Erica Linz who is the lead in the documentary film,”Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away,” in theaters now.
